After School Program Support

Job Title: After School Program Support
Department: Transitional Learning Community
Reports To: Teacher and Building Principal
FLSA Status: Nonexempt - At-Will Position
Position Status: Part Time Position ? Classified
SUMMARY
Works with afterschool K-6 students between the hours of their home school dismissal and 6PM by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Instructs and assists students in group and independent activities to develop skills
Supervises students on the playground
Assists office staff with clerical tasks such as copying or other office tasks
Helps to identify the learning needs of exceptional students
May accompany students to the restroom, lunch room, playground, emergency drills, and to the school bus
Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes
Alerts the Director to any problem or special information about a student
Assists in keeping the general atmosphere of the classroom/campus as consistent as possible
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Certified Degree or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required in addition to an AA Degree, 60 college credits or passing score on a Para Pro Test.
Applicant must be First Aid/CPR certified.
Proof of immunizations for measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and TB requested.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
