9K a year 11 days ago 11 days ago 11 days ago Responsibilities Receive and initiate calls to/from patients, providers, provider offices and facilities, while following all established scheduling procedures and protocols to ensure patients receive the care they need.
Schedule appointments through coordination of patients, providers, facility resources, ancillary staff, referrals, authorizations and payers.
Obtain patient demographics, insurance information and necessary documents required to secure authorizations, referrals, or other data as determined by various facilities and insurance carriers.
Responsible for obtaining and properly documenting all necessary and accurate data during the intake/registration process.
Answer questions as necessary within guidelines and protocols.
Effectively communicate and build impactful relationships through written, electronic and verbal channels with patients, facilities, providers and other clinical colleagues to ensure an easy, empathetic, solution-orientated patient experience, included but not limited to phone, chat, email, electronic medical record messaging and other digital channels.
Anticipate patient and provider needs and responds accordingly.
Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor or other Administrative personnel Our Customer Care Representative operates in a fast-paced medical call center environment and work together to emphasize excellent customer service and our Kindness Matters philosophy! The Customer Care Representative is responsible for accurate typing, collection of all required demographic and insurance information, answering telephones and scheduling various types of appointments.
The candidate selected for this position will be eligible for a Sign On incentive.
Qualifications Required:
High School diploma or GED; education and/or experience equivalent to 2 years preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess knowledge of telephone etiquette and experience handling multiple telephone lines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be detail oriented.
Proficient in use of computers, electronic health record and software programs.
Possess valid driver's license, home/Cell phone and reliable transportation.
Ability to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
Must obtain and maintain a Fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain a positive and helpful attitude with customers, providers and clinic operations.
Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions as they relate to the functions listed above.
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective teamwork skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bilingual - English/Spanish Insurance and medical experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
