Company Overview Axiom Care is a fast-paced, rapidly growing substance abuse treatment and sober living housing provider with locations in the Phoenix metro area and Apache Junction.
We primarily serve low-income and justice-involved individuals who are seeking to change their life for the better.
We achieve this by offering multiple levels of care along with medical services, evidence-based professional counseling, case management, housing assistance, employment assistance, and more.
Position Overview While providing group therapy, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, and will provide counseling through development of discharge planning and other Case Management activities while supporting the therapeutic assessments and modes of therapy utilized by behavioral health professionals to assist client with substance abuse issues.
Counselor I's work closely with case managers, clinicians, other BHTs, and clinical administration in the clinical department to provide high quality services to the OP population at Axiom Care.
Those in this role provide direct services including psychoeducational group counseling, psychoeducational individual counseling, other therapeutic interventions in their scope, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention and discharge planning as needed.
Indirect service includes meeting with their care team, attending oversight and training, completing other documentation as needed.
Counselor I's complete professional clinical documentation in the EMR and work with the billing department for all necessary utilization review tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities Maintain strict adherence to state and local ethical standards and legal requirements at all times Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical substance abuse treatment to clients in group and individual settings Develop client-driven individualized treatment plans and continually monitor for treatment progress Complete high-quality documentation of any service provided or other clinically pertinent information within 24 hours Maintain good standing with the appropriate board, licensure, and insurance entities, if applicable Utilize CBT, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, trauma informed care and/or other evidenced based techniques within scope to help clients achieve their treatment goals Take initiative to be aware and updated about community resources Assess client progress, needs and barriers in each interaction and document Make referrals to and assist in coordinating care with external sources when indicated Secure client information per HIPAA standards Assist with providing and attends training as requested Attend clinical meetings, oversight and interdisciplinary team meetings as requested Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team throughout the day including tech staff and leadership to ensure the best client care and open, frequent communication Assist with case management functions as needed Assist in holding clients accountable for attendance and compliance with program expectations Identify and report ongoing maintenance and safety issues at facility Intervene with de-escalation, empathy and, as needed, emergency response protocol to crises and emergency situations Perform other related tasks and projects as assigned by management Transport clients to appointments as needed.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities Must be proficient in computer applications, computer navigation, and electronic medical record systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or related software.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Current Arizona Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Some assignments require an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Strong assessment skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of twelve step programs of recovery Understanding, training, and application of evidence-based practices Strict adherence to ethical treatment standards Ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments.
Strong written communication skills and time management skills.
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Education and Experience Minimum one year of experience with the AHCCCS population, justice involved persons, chronically underhoused or the substance use treatment.
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage Family, Counseling or relative field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
Two to three years of experience working in behavioral health or substance abuse field preferred.
Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
